APL – Learning management system

In March 2021, Australian Pork Limited launched its Learning Management System for the Australian pork industry. The system has been designed to deliver relevant and useful training in an accessible way. Well established training programs, such as ProHand, have been migrated to the system, and new courses have been and will continue to be created to meet industry needs.

Since March, 391 accounts have been created by members of the Australian pork industry, and this is allowing the delivery of training on-farm and to industry stakeholders, including vets, transporters and biosecurity officers.

Some 65 international accounts have been created, providing a welcome income stream through the commercialisation of some courses to overseas pork industries. The income generated will be used to continue development of the commercial courses and to maintain the platform for Australian users.
